Tip Plasty

No more awkward nose tip! Imagine yourself with a beautiful and natural-looking nose tip!

What is Tip Plasty In Korea?

Customized Tip Plasty for your face

Defined nose makes your face look more beautiful and younger than your actual age. An upturned nose, a droopy nose, or a bulbous nose can be corrected through tip plasty. JW Plastic Surgery creates a beautiful and natural-looking nose with symmetrical nostrils and alar base, which does not droop even after a long lapse of time.

In order to design a beautiful nose tip for your face, we make an accurate diagnosis by analyzing the shape, angle, length, and height of your nose in depth. Although you may see sufficient results only with tip plasty, you will be even more satisfied if you receive tip plasty in Korea.

Using of autologous can make your nose tip to be more natural!

Using of autologous in “JW Plastic Surgery Center” can give lower percentages of results in few side effects such as inflammation or thinning nose tip skin and makes your nose tip move naturally.

JW’s Know-How for Tip Plasty!

No Drooping Over Time

Your nose tip will not droop even after a long lapse of time but remain in beautiful shape.

Customized Surgery for your Face

If using of autologous cannot be performed, donated costal cartilage or artificial dermis will be used, instead of hard foreign materials.

Using Fascia if Necessary

For a beautiful and natural-looking nose shape, a nose tip will be covered with fascia after using of autologous if it is necessary.

Safe Surgery using Autologous Cartilage

We perform safe tip plasty using ear cartilage, septal nasal cartilage, or costal cartilage, instead of implants.

Minimized Rejection Reactions and Side Effects

We can change any nose tip such as bulbous nose, upturned nose, or droopy nose to a beautiful nose by correcting of height, angle, and shape.

#1 | Re-positioning of Alar Cartilage

We can raise the height of a nose tip by re positioning of your own alar cartilage.

#2 | Autologous Cartilage Implantation

This procedure corrects the shape of a nose tip using septal nasal cartilage, rib cartilage, or costal cartilage. Autologous cartilage may be implanted into the nasal bridge so as to support the nose tip. Alternatively, the nasal septum may be extended.

#3 | De-rotation Graft

In order to prevent the alar cartilage from being seen, we create a natural-looking nose tip by implanting autologous dermis or artificial dermis into a nose tip.

#4 | Combined Method

The above procedures may be combined and performed at the same time.

#5 | Rein-shaped columellar strut graft

The noses of Asians are smaller, and their nasal tip skin is thicker than those of Westerners. Moreover, in the Asian nose, the tip projection is poor and the tip-defining point is obtuse. To obtain sufficient nasal tip projection, structural supporting grafts such as the columellar strut graft or septal extension graft are required in most Asians.

In-Depth Examination

In-depth examination through a three-dimensional CT analysis

Before surgery, we conduct a precise and in-depth examination through a 3D-CT analysis on the nasal bones, the shape, conditions, and size of nasal soft tissues for a safe and accurate operation.

A deviated nose and nasal septum deviation

In case of congenital nasal septum deviation or asymmetrical bones or cartilages bent by external injuries, a deviated nose should be corrected for both aesthetic reasons and functional improvement such as breathing.

Nasal Obstruction

Inferior turbinate hypertrophy may cause nasal obstruction. Rhinoplasty can help treat nasal obstruction.

Various forms and sizes of septal nasal cartilages

When using septal nasal cartilages for rhinoplasty, we analyze the sizes and shapes of septal nasal cartilages accurately for precise surgical planning.

The size of Nasal Bone

After analyzing the size and shape of nasal bones, nasal osteotomy may be performed during rhinoplasty, if their size needs to be corrected.

*A 3D-CT analysis may not be required depending on your physician’s opinion.

Cautions Before Rhinoplasty

  • You must stop taking medications that interfere with hemostasis (oral contraceptive pills, hormone drugs, vitamin E, aspirin, etc.) at least two weeks before an operation. If you are currently receiving treatment for high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, or thyroid disease, you must inform your doctor or consultant in advance.
  • Cigarettes may cause phlegm, sneezing, or bleeding after an operation. We strongly recommend that you stop smoking for two weeks before an operation. A serious cold may reduce your trachea and respiratory functions. Please inform your consultant or doctor in advance if you happen to be suffering from a serious cold on the day of surgery.
  • Before you come to the hospital, you must remove makeup, contact lenses, any accessories, nail polish, and pedicure on the day of surgery.
  • You must stop eating any food at least four hours before an operation.
  • We recommend you to wear comfortable clothes, which will not irritate the surgical sites, a mask, a cap, and sunglasses. In addition, we advise you to come with a guardian or use public transportation.

Post-Operative Management

  • Placing the surgical sites on a higher position than your heart helps to reduce swelling.
  • Apply an ice pack on the surgical site for the first two or three days.
  • Avoid severe friction and acupressure massage around the surgical sites for at least one month after an operation. Use a sauna or take a hot bath at least one month later.
  • Refrain from smoking or drinking, which may delay your recovery, for at least four weeks after an operation.
