Ptosis Correction (Levator)

Enhance small and sleepy eyes to make them large and vivid

What is Ptosis Correction?

Ptosis Correction gives you large and distinctive eyes

Blepharoptosis means droopy upper eyelids which is caused by nerve issues or myasthenia gravis covering certain parts of the iris. Some people have naturally droopy eyelids and others have saggy eyelids caused by aging.

Apart from the sleepy appearance, droopy eyes make people force their forehead muscles to open up their eyes. Over a long period, it will gradually cause forehead wrinkles and headaches. If you get the ptosis procedure in Korea, the eye-opening muscles will be pulled upward which helps revitalise sleepy and droopy eyes.

JW’s Ptosis Correction

#1 | Incision Ptosis Correction

JW’s Incision Ptosis Correction revitalizes sleepy eyes and creates a vivid and refreshed eye shape.
Incision Ptosis Correction is recommended to:
  • Those whose eyelids cover over one-third (1/3) of the pupil.
  • Those who often hear that they look sleepy.
  • Those whose eyelids are sagging with a large volume of eyelid fat.
  • Those whose eyes look overly sleepy.
  • Those whose eyes are severely asymmetric.

The Procedure of Incision Ptosis Correction

Incision Ptosis Correction can be performed by reduction of upper eyelid muscle or surgery of Müller’s muscle depending on the level of blepharoptosis. These surgeries are simple to operate and the method is determined by each patient’s strength of muscles that pull open the eyelids.

Step 1

Consult with one of our surgeons to diagnose your current condition and customize the surgery to create your ideal eye.

Step 2

Excess tissue is removed after the incision.

Step 3

The “levator muscles” are readjusted.

Step 4

The surgery is completed having created vivid and bright eyes.

Important

After the procedure, you’re required to pay special attention to your body and take great care to avoid complications such as bleeding, inflammation, or infection.

#2 | Non-incision Ptosis Correction

JW’s non-incisional ptosis correction gives you vivid and refreshed eye shapes without any incision.

Non-incisional ptosis correction is carried out by muscle readjustment through conjunctiva by flipping the eyelid. Through this procedure, your natural eye shape can be preserved by avoiding the incision that creates a double eyelid.

After the non-incision ptosis correction, the iris will become naturally visible. Additionally, by correcting the eye muscle, patients will put less force in their eyebrow and forehead muscles reducing the wrinkles around the eyebrow and forehead.

The size of eyes is monitored during the operation in real-time.

Functional effect by blepharoptosis correction.

Satisfaction with both vivid eye shape and aesthetic aspects.

Satisfactory operation results without revision surgery.

Non-incision Ptosis Correction is recommended to:
  • Those who have weak eyelid muscles which cause the eyelids to droop and cover the iris.
  • Those whose eyes constantly seem sleepy.
  • Those whos eyelids cover the iris, more than is natural, which gives them a tired appearance.
  • Those who need blepharoptosis correction with double eyelid line operation.
  • Those who have concerns about scarring after the operation.

Procedure of Non-incision Ptosis Correction

Step 1

Consult with our specialists to diagnose the current eye condition.

Step 2

Design a customized eye shape that the patient finds ideal and is medically the best option.

Step 3

A small puncture is made to the double eyelid line and the eyelid muscles (that open the eye) and tarsal plate are pulled and readjusted.

Step 4

The procedure is complete, giving the patient lively refreshed-looking eyes.
