Facial asymmetry refers to the case where the jawbone is curved to either side, or the left and right sides are not symmetrical due to the difference in size of the jawbone.
Facial asymmetry correction is performed to realign the face when the lower jaw is bent or skewed by 2 ~ 3cm or more from the centerline of the face, or the difference in the size of the left and right jaw bones is significant. In other cases, mandibular prognathism or mouth protrusion can occur on top of facial asymmetry.
